Job Description

Our client who engages in the manufacture and supply of power and automation technology solutions is currently in need of a Sales Technician to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible in developing and implementing Site installations on MV Switchgear and repairs as well as customer relations. Effectively implement and uphold OHSACT strategy, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Installation and Testing of LV,MV & HV Switchgear
• Repair work on Equipment , mostly MV Switchgear as mentioned above
• Wiring of Electrical panels as part of retrofitting older Switchgear panels
• Travelling to sites and customer call outs
• Maintenance of MV Switchgear ( 11-66kV )
• Testing of relays and motors and report writing
• Modifying or red-lining ( by hand ) electrical drawings of schemes that were changed on site
• Time keeping and time sheets
• Project control to a degree and cost control
• Travelling abroad and local on occasions to get certification on certain products
• Health and Safety responsibilities and safety of people under direct supervision
• Site supervisor responsibilities
• Customer call outs and fault investigations

Requirements / Qualifications

• National Millwright Qualification level 4 ( must have Electrical and Mechanical qualification )
• National Certificate of least N2 qualification
• ORHVS REGS certification, modules 1,2,3,4 &7
• Medical fit
• Medium Voltage (11Kv) Switchgear experience
