Installation Engineer at RetailNext

Job description

RetailNext is looking for an Installation Engineer to ensure installation of our product into every single customer's retail store location. The Installation Engineer will be tasked with working closely with Internal and External teams to understand store installation plans and execute against those plans. This role is essential to the implementation process at RetailNext and ensures that our customers are happy with our product. This position will be located at our Cape Town, South Africa office. Also, night shifts are a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our project management team to understand the scope of work for deployment Work with vendors to ensure installation goes smoothly.
• Be able to travel and work night shift often Provide detail installation report to management team.

Qualifications

• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments Knowledge of IP networking
• Experience with low voltage wiring (Cat5e-7 and fiber a plus)
• Good understanding the enterprise networking basics Knowledge of SQL database is a plus Video codec experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand floor plan drawings (Visio or some drawing software)
• Be able to troubleshoot network connectivity issues Detail oriented Past experience working under strict deadlines at a physical construction site
• Experience in consumer products is a plus Need to be comfortable supervising contractors both onsite and remotely to aggressively produce desired results
• Excellent communication skills
