Job Purpose:

Manages the key performance areas and result indicators associated with creation, regeneration, enhancement and management of public spaces through the provision of a professional management consultancy service.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Identifies and defines the immediate, short and long term objectives/ plans associated with Urban Design and Landscape Architecture.
• Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Urban Design and Landscape Architecture Branch.
• Prepares capital and operating estimates for the Branch and, approves and controls project related expenditure against the budget allocations.
• Manages the formulation of specific contracts and tender documents and controls contractual obligations.
• Directs and controls the professional, technical and operational outcomes related to Urban Design and Landscape Architecture.
• Disseminates strategic, functional and operational information on the immediate, short and long term objectives and, current developments, problems and constraints.

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised Masters Degree in Urban Design, or Registration as a Professional Architect, or Registration as a Professional Landscape Architect, with the relevant statutory registering body.
• Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
• 6 Years relevant post qualification experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Registration as a Candidate Professional Construction Project Manager.
• 8 Years relevant post qualification experience.
