Senior Systems Engineer

Job description

Our client in South Africa is looking for a Senior System engineer.

Role:
- Research, design, development & operations of Java based IMS nodes including but not limited to:
- Home subscriber server (HSS)
- Policy control and charging rules function (PCRF)
- Online charging system (OCS)
In addition as and when required if candidate has C programming experience
Call session control functions (CSCF)

Mandatory:
- Bsc computer science or Engineering
- 5 years hands on experience in mobile IP telecoms
- 5 years enterprise java development experience on JBoss/Glassfish/Wildfly/TomEE or similar
- Strong working knowledge of PCRF, OCS, HSS and IMS in 4G LTE networks
- Strong working knowledge of Diameter & preferably SIP as well
- Must be completely familiar with Linux and using Linux as a desktop and server environment
- Passionate about IT & development
Highly valued:
- C/C++ development
- Knowledge of JAIN SLEE (Restcomm - formerly Mobicents)
