    Regional Development Manager URE Mining & Rock Excavation Technique Jetpark

    Job Description

    Promote & Sell all URE equipment Development of new customers including the Mining Consulting Houses & Mining Contractors ( Murray & Roberts ; Avenge ; Goba Hatch ; DRA Global ; DRA Contracting ; etc. )Take responsibility of certain Key Accounts in terms of personal Sales

    Responsibility

    • Take on any other tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.Support all URE customersControl and monitoring of the Sales Representatives
    • Generate unit spare part sales and assist Inventory Control with stock reduction of slow moving parts.Assist MRS on all technical issues.
    • Work Closely with MRS and attend Steering Committee Meetings as and when requiredKeep close ties with RDT in developing new customers for URE Capital EquipmentMonitor competitor and pirate activity in the area, and notify management
    • Have an intimate knowledge of our product and market share in the area, including parts businessKnow the pricing structure of our competitors, and know their equipment
    • Involvement of quotations to customers (this is to be co-ordinated with head office)
    • Follow up back orders and deliveries of equipment to customersAssist with the collection of outstanding monies due from sales
    • Expected to assist in other areas / divisions in the company when needed
    • Committed to regular underground visits to inspect the condition of our equipmentMonthly / quarterly structured meetings with key clients , to ensure continual liaison with their management teams
    • Develop and maintain cost and sales budgets.NIS targets and profitability of related PGC’s
    • Job appraisals and identifying training needsTo assist and train staffAssistance on improvement and optimisation projects when requiredReportingWeekly / monthly written reports to head office Weekly/monthly written reports
    • Budgets and report back on these reports to BLMVerbal feedback to Customers ; BLM ; Reps ;Management Forecasts and action plans to BLMAccountability (Main Performance evaluation factors for the Job)
    • Measurement of performance against budgetCustomer satisfaction
    • Accuracy of Market Shares reporting Measurement of performance against targets All URE Business Development To ensure an efficient and profitable URE

    Experience Requirements

    • Technical backgroundPreferably come from a mining background ( +5 years ) or at least a long history ( +10 years) of selling
    • Capital Equipment into the underground mining environment
    • Computer literacy
    • Proven negotiation and order closure skills Technical knowledge of Atlas Copco products Valid driver’s licence

    Educational Requirements

    • Grade 12 with some after school technical & commercial qualification.
    • Completed management studies will also be advantageous
    • A suitable tertiary qualification is required,Commercial/ Business qualification will be an added advantage..

    Personality Requirements

    • Good customer relationsGood telephone manners and skillsGood product knowledge
    • Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the URE sales team
    • Selling skillsBe presentable to customers in grooming and dress codeExcellent managerial abilitiesMust be able to trave
