    Junior Education Support

    Job description

    Role:

    Supports the team to promote Acer’s Education product line and key strategic relationships with Education partners across the region. Executes on Acer’s key messaging in the Education domain to drive sales, market share and brand premium to position Acer through product superiority, training and classroom support. Also manages Acer Education partners.

    Responsibilities:

    • End to end ownership of Acer’s key Education business in Johannesburg
    • Is engaged in managing and developing existing key partners whilst highlighting and seeking out new opportunities with greenfield customers and partners
    • Defines and implement sales and marketing strategies and plans to outperform quota and deliver net profit.
    • Meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals for designated market
    • Managing and planning customer events aimed at driving awareness, brand premium, customer loyalty
    • Managing, defending and growing Acer market share
    • Collaboration with internal teams locally and across EMEA to maximize Acer revenue and profitability
    • Manage profitability metrics for the accounts, quota performance; price protection etc ensuring the correct level of internal approval
    • Be informed about the competitive landscape, market trends, customer needs and execute sales initiatives in response to and in anticipation of these
    • Develop and grow product categories within account base including potential new revenue generation sources
    • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to profitably grow the business.
    • Act as the expert and be responsible for updating management on sales progress, key challenges and opportunities, and overall health of the channel and its impact of Acer revenue.
    • Ensure accurate and timely account planning, forecasting, commitment and pipeline management which is regularly communicated with management
    • Ensure sell out of appropriate product mix and product positioning in agreement with management
    • Manages the execution and delivery of projects with accuracy and a customer centric mindset
    • Suggests creative ways to deliver projects and in this space

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in business administration
    • Fluent English (written and spoken); other languages will be advantageous
    • 2 to 5 years work experience
    • Knowledge of the Information Technology sector desired but not essential

    Key Competencies

    • Good business and sales cycle management
    • Good communication and presentation skills
    • Knowledge of the regional Education landscape will be advantageoud
    • Finance and business management skills
    • Ability to adopt change in fast paced and demanding environment
    • Business acumen
    • Creativity and can do attitude
