Junior Design Assistant at OKHA

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of this incumbent is to assist OKHA in project and product research, design and development; specifically assisting the OKHA Project Managers with drawing, research and general product coordination, as well as the OKHA Director and Brand Manager with general research and product development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CRITERIA

• Excellent Revit and CAD skills
• Editing layouts in AutoCAD & Revit.
• Conceptualizing and modelling Interior architecture on Revit.
• Generate Revit 3D drawings and views to convey the design as well as possible to the client.
• Proficient in Microsoft – Powerpoint, Excel and Word
• Passion and good eye for design
• Must contribute to an environment that fosters design excellence
• Stay up to date with trends & suppliers
• Liaise with suppliers
• Foster and maintain supplier relationships
• Attending meetings with suppliers, sub-contractors, etc. when required
• Sourcing reference images
• Generating presentations on Power point for client presentations / package deadlines.
• Accompany other staff for onsite inspections and surveying (if required).
• Generating design development drawings, to convey all details, dimensions and specifications for a project.
• Sourcing samples, finishes and fittings to show senior staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Design Graduate (studies completed)
• Own transport and drivers licence is essential
