    Drilling Equipment Controller

    Job Description

    Assist as and when required with all aspects of general stores duties such as:

    • The receiving of goods from the various suppliers i.e. offloading and the opening and unpacking of parcels received.
    • Verifying the items received against the relevant documents to be correct in quantity and part number.
    • Check items received and the general condition of the packaging to be free from any defects. Report any such defect to the Contract Administrator/Planner.
    • Identifying the correct store location of the individual items in BPCS or location list and the storing thereof accurately in the correct location.
    • The picking of items as per the pick slips. Report any deviation found to the Contract Administrator/Planner.
    • Assist artisans at the counter with parts promptly and ensure that relevant documents are completed.
    • Counting of stock as and when required.
    • Cleaning the warehouse, the areas used for the storage of goods and areas directly outside the warehouse.
    • Assist in maintaining all safety aspects in the warehouse and report any unsafe situation or equipment to the Contract Administrator/Planner.
    • Assist in the day to day running of the warehouse as determined by the Contract Administrator/Planner.
    • Filing of documents accurately.
    • After hours standby as and when required.
    • Other stores related functions as determined by the Contract Administrator/Planner.
    • To carry out additional duties as may become necessary to ensure the successful operation of the company.
    • To undertake ad-hoc project work and perform related duties as required.
    • Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of "The Way We Do Things".

    Experience Requirements

    • A good knowledge and understanding of Atlas Copco products.
    • Computer literacy, in particular relevant modules of the BPCS system.
    • Understanding of flow of goods through the warehouse, from goods receiving to picking and issuing of goods.
    • Interpersonal skills to work as part of the warehouse team.
    • Good communication skills.Valid driver’s licence

    Knowledge

    Understanding of store keeping.

    Educational Requirements

    Grade 12 / Technical Background

    Additional Information

    Accuracy of all aspects of duties performed in the warehouse such as goods receipted, goods stored and goods picked and issuing of goods and controlling of the documents involved.
