    HR Training Manager

    Job description

    The Prestige Cosmetics Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual to join the Johannesburg team as a HR & Training Manager for the Retail Portfolio.

    The core purpose of the role is to effectively lead the PCG HR & training department and implement the Retail & Learning and Development strategy in order to differentiate PCG and gain competitive advantage.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 5 years HR experience in the retail industry – (a similar industry will be an advantage)
    • 5 years IR experience in the retail industry – (a similar industry will be an advantage)
    • Retail Recruitment experience essential
    • An HR tertiary qualification or equivalent (diploma and/or degree, etc)
    • L&D or Industrial Psych qualification or similar
    • Minimum 5 years training experience
    • Minimum 3 years leading others/teams
    • Training in a similar industry will be an advantage (beauty/luxury brands)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop & implement Retail recruitment strategy – build a pipeline of high calibre Beauty consultants to fill vacancies in less than 4 weeks
    • Responsible for Retail Industrial Relations – manage process from start to finish, and represent the company at the CCMA
    • Retail performance Management - Work with Line managers to set KPI’s and give feedback and manage the process and coordination
    • Design & implement Retail HR policies & procedures for Retail to minimise risk.
    • Collaborate with line managers to design and implement Retail SOP’s
    • Retail Payroll
    • Identify training needs with Line Managers in retail and build into L&D training strategy
    • Provide leadership and growth for the Talent Coordinator
    • Effectively develop, drive and lead Prestige Cosmetics training department and training managers
    • Plan, create and ensure effective execution of the training manager’s calendar curriculum.
    • Inform and Implement the Learning and Development strategy for PCG both to trade and BC’s
    • Inform and oversee the PCG Learning and Development Budget
    • Lead and develop the internal PCG training team
    • Manage suitable partners (coaches, trainers, developers etc.) engaged to deliver L&D services within PCG
    • Develop and submit the annual work place skills plan and training report to SETA
    • Oversee all training related record keeping for SETA, SARS and BBBEE auditing
    • Oversee L&D related systems and software implementation and usage within PCG and provide feedback to the L&D Executive to assist in record management, training deployment and accreditation/assessment requirements
    • Manage the skills development portion of BBBEE within PCG to optimise Transformation – work with the L&D executive in sourcing suitable programmes, determining numbers, monitoring reporting, overseeing the PCG audit on SD component
    • Work with the L&D Executive to determine Talent Development initiatives and track such interventions
    • Oversee the PCG training calendars per brand to ensure targets and dealer principles requirements are met
    • Assist in developing ladders of learning and skills matrices across all function to support succession and career pathing within PCG and link training to the relevant functional areas
    • Assist in the accreditation of the Beauty and Nail Academy: co-ordinate relevant SME’s assist in quality assuring internally developed modules
    • Oversee monthly GM meetings to address concerns and identify focus areas
    • Measure training impact and submit training dashboards to the L&D executive and other stakeholders for reporting purposes
    • Quality assure the training delivery of the training team against internal and dealer principle standards to continuously raise the bar and ensure trainers are delivering exceptional training
