Junior Legal Counsel at Huawei Technologies

Job description

Main Responsibities:

• Assistance to Head of Department and senior Legal Counsels as and when required on various legal and business issues;
• Contract review and negotiation;
• Commercial legal risk assessment and advice;
• Policy drafting and implementation;
• Legal training to employees as required;
• Research – general, local and international;
• Manage external attorneys should the need arise;
• Ad hoc functions and assistance as per requirement from Head of Department and other members of senior management / regional legal department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above, with or without background of Telecommunication or Project Management.
• Admitted attorney;
• 2 – 4 years post admission experience;
• Computer literacy required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
• Must be willing and able to travel as and when required;
• Ability to work independently and in a team ;
• Must be proficient in at least 2 local languages of which one must be English;
• Excellent communication skills a must;
• Previous in-house legal experience in a telecommunication environment an advantage;
• Commercial contract review, negotiation experience an advantage;
• Willingness to learn and expand on his/her current capabilities
