    Content Practice Manager (South Africa)

    Job description

    The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Content Practice Leader for EMEA & Americas, the role is responsible for leading and continuing to build out OpenText’s Content Practice in South Africa. The role requires a sound knowledge of OpenText technology, experience in running a team of consultants, and strong communication skills across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; especially OpenText Sales/Pre-Sales, Clients and Sub-contracting partners.

    Focusing on delivery excellence, team motivation and customer success, the Content Practice Manager is in a pivotal role in the territory for driving a thriving Content-centric business.

    You Are Great At

    • Leadership of the South African Content delivery team
    • Driving team success, including:
    • Maximising team utilization
    • Ensuring delivery quality
    • Implementing best practice
    • Team enablement & certification
    • Play an integral role in assisting profitable business development in the South African market
    • Engage with key customers
    • Oversee the portfolio of Content-centric projects in South Africa

    What It Takes

    • Experience in leading a technical team
    • Experience in complex software project delivery
    • Self motivation
    • Experience in Content Management technologies & solutions
    • Good networking and relationship building skills
    • Commercially astute
    • University degree in computer science, informatics or comparable education in IT or information management
    • A minimum of 7 years Consulting experience
    • Deep background on the functional side of the OpenText product portfolio
    • Proven experience and competencies with Services Sales
    • Strong communication and presentation skills as well as commercial understanding
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
