    General Critical Care Devices Sales Representative

    Job description

    Job Summary

    To sell the full range of Medtronic Patient Monitoring and Recovery products in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals and to build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage and gain greater market share at all times.

    Key Duties/ Responsibilities

    • Promoting current and new products.
    • Management by objectives, accountability is the key issue
    • Set personal and professional goals in an ongoing attempt to drive new business sales and gain competitor market share and still maintain and grow current market share.
    • Complete all administrative tasks punctually and accurately within given deadlines – planners and reports, leave forms, expense claims and other.
    • Building relationships and provide an excellent before and after sales service – as detailed below:
    • Achieve monthly; quarterly and Yearly Annual Operating Plan and budget
    • Sales prospecting and servicing of existing accounts
    • Sales presentation to doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other KDM’s
    • In-service support programs for customers
    • Gain theatre, ICU, Trauma, NICU, PICU and ward access
    • Weekly report to Regional Sales Manager on all business developments through Salesforce
    • Monitor competitor activity
    • Build professional customer relations
    • Infection control presentations
    • Compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental policies and procedures

    Job Scope

    • Achieving and exceeding of sales budget, implementation of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory. Effectively manage expense budget allocations as well as all consignment accounts.
    • Analysis
      • Analyse the territory on a monthly basis:
      • Identify positive and negative growth accounts and action plans for negative accounts
      • Draft recovery or action plans
      • Analyse “month ahead” targets and goals

    Job Qualifications/ Experience

    • Candidates with good knowledge of anatomy and physiology
    • At least five years’ sales experience
    • Experience of selling in the following areas of care : theatre, ICU, Trauma, NICU, PICU
    • Relevant degree
    • Good technical skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Basic computer literacy
    • This will be a Cape Town based position.
