    Senior Manager- Business Development (Oracle)-Tech Enablement

    Purpose of the role:

    The Tech Advisory BU within KPMG, is looking for an experienced Oracle Business Development Manager who has successfully lead Business Development efforts across multiple South African industry sectors.

    Reporting to the Associate Director the successful incumbent will be responsible for growing market share by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing Oracle enabled business opportunities.

    Qualifications And Experience Required

    • Tertiary qualification- BCom or BCom Honours in Sales/Marketing AND/OR Tertiary qualification in technology or information systems with relevant Oracle certifications
    • MBA preferred
    • Min 10 years Business Development / Oracle Sales Experience (preferably with experience in both product andservices business development and sales)
    • Proven track record in business development, sales and client relationship management (ideally within the financial services, mining, telecommunications / public sector environment)
    • The ability to establish and nurture internal networks across multidisciplinary service lines and experience with combining multiple service offerings to solve complex client problems
    • Deep understanding of the Oracle marketplace and Oracle’s future direction and strategy
    • Ability to engage with clients to understand their business, organization, culture, pain points, and compelling reasons to act on new initiatives

    Key Areas Of Responsibility

    • The Oracle Business Development Manager will be responsible for Oracle related business development activity across South Africa, realising both product (licence) sales and related services sales.
    • Leads the identification, development and sales conversion of large innovative Oracle enabled business transformations.
    • Is responsible for dynamic market screening, thought leadership, demand creation, opportunity identification, development, and conversion of opportunities that support the business strategy of the Oracle BU.
    • Builds relationships with clients and coaches teams internally, including support around proposals in a driver capacity.
    • Creates, articulates, and sells an innovative business vision and value proposition based on KPMG thought leadership.
    • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
    • Locates or proposes potential business deals by working closely with internal and external business partners.
    • Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and returns.
    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required

    • Strong Technical Oracle applications knowledge with emphasis on Cloud solutions
    • An expert understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
    • The proven ability to drive and develop pipeline opportunities
    • Sales pipeline development and management
    • Strong knowledge of sales methodology and proven experience in driving opportunities through to revenue
    • Client focused with strong relationship skills
    • Strong and effective project management skills
    • Proactive with a positive approach
    • Self-starter able to work effectively as part of a 'virtual team'
    • A team player
    • Excellent communication skills
