    Regional HR Manager

    Job description

    Job Overview

    The Regional Human Resources Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa will provide operational and strategic HR support to assigned Business Divisions in South Africa. The role incumbent is also responsible for an efficient staffing / deployment of employees and assists in personnel development activities in the area of responsibility.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage and implement policies and procedures relating to people & organizational development.
    • Manage day to day HR operational activities including payroll, HRIS, C&B, employee files and legal paperwork.
    • Support the goal of establishing the human capital of the organization as a critical component in accomplishing business goals.
    • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR practice and provide suitable interpretation to managers and staff within the organization
    • Work effectively as a team member to support and implement processes for, performance management, Training & Development and Organizational Development.
    • Facilitate communication among employees and management.
    • Guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
    • Provide expertise in strategy execution, planning, and facilitation of employee relations efforts.
    • Liaise with management on performance and employee relations matters.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration
    • Post Graduate Studies in Human Resources Management preferred
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, 3 - 5 at a managerial level
    • Proven track record in Human Resources
    • Experience working with a multinational preferred
    • Strong knowledge of organizational development and compensation and benefits practices
    • Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Fluent English
