    Logistics Manager

    Job description

    This position is responsible for the total logistics, procurement and materials management within the company.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Assigned employees are deployed according to their qualifications and abilities and are led and developed in accordance with the company’s Leadership guidelines and Logistics Departmental Strategy.
    • The company’s Logistics Management principles and standards are followed.
    • Managing the Logistics department, Customs, Warehouse (in & out bound) and provides expert support for the functions at the company.
    • Plans, co-ordinates, maintains and improves the Logistics Management System designed to ensure continuous production and availability materials and products.
    • Implementation and operation effectiveness of production planning according to deadlines and OEM requirements.
    • Analysis and optimization of logistics procedures and structures to improve operational procedures and systems.
    • Procedures / processes / systems which guarantee effective work methods are implemented and working to achieve best results within the complete supply chain from Suppliers, Services providers and final on time delivery to Customers.
    • Actively participate and support the department in improving the activities, and principles Kaizen (Cost Reduction, Supply Chain Improvements), 5S of the economization activities to ensure the operating results are implemented.
    • Optimization of the complete Supply Chain to meet the Budget according to business plans.
    • Adhere to the guidelines of the Company and Quality management System ISO/TS 16949, Environment management DIN EN ISO 14001, Industrial safety guidelines OHSAS 18001)

    Requirements:

    • ND/BTech or Degree in Logistics/Industrial Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 3-5 years experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
    • Experience in the Automotive Industry would be advantageous.
    • Experience in ERP systems (AS400 / SAP) would be advantageous
    • English and Afrikaans fluency
    • Good planning, organizational and administrative skills, with Proactive, structured approach
    • Strong Financial awareness, unquestionable business ethics and professionalism
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure to motivate and lead teams
