    About The Role

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and engaged HR professional, who has great problem solving abilities and detail orientation. The successful candidate will be both analytical and curious and looking for ways of working that support the Future of Work at Swiss Re.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Effective management and oversee of HR services provided by the HR Shared Services Centre (HRSSC). This role is key to ensure both transition and quality of service is seemless.
    • Responsible for Swiss Re Life & Health Africa employee induction and orientation, ensuring a professional and positive experience for all new joinersOwner of local payroll input (in collaboration with Payroll Specialist team based in London)
    • Benefit management of all Countries in the MEA ambit
    • Owner of all HR Systems including MyHR, Success Factors, Recruitment Contact One/ GTOO/ SNOW / Sharepoint
    • Effective management of policies and procedures in all countries in the MEA ambit
    • Governance, risk management and controls in collaboration with Region EMEA
    • Invoicing and support on budgets compilation and review
    • Processing of internal deferred compensation payments out of SA to Zurich
    • Co-ordination and project management of HR related BBBEE submissions
    • Integrate local and global training interventions to ensure capability development
    • Annual EE (employment equity) submissions on time and to quality
    • Inseta submissions, ownership of Skills Development Facilitation and internship / bursary applications.
    • Implementation of Internship programmes
    • Liaison with Core Compensation to ensure alignment to Group processes
    • Collaboration with Reward for local salary surveys including the ability to deal with diverse complexities in different markets)
    • Administration of the Employee Self Service Systems
    • Prepare and design people metrics, reporting, and predictive analytics
    • Supports the HR team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations and processes.
    • Utilise technology and analytical tools to develop and analyse enterprise wide people and other cross functional data as needed
    • Serve as the domain expert for human capital analytics
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts across HR service areas (OE, Talent, Recruitment, Reward) to improve overall operational performance and insight
    • To effectively plan, manage and oversee local and GIA audits
    • Manage relationships with HR teams such as mobility including International Assignments and Visa support
    • Project management for HR MEA team
    • Setting up of local training plans in line with skills gap analysis conducted by the business, supported by HR
    • Central owner of HR administration, including automation where required, dashboard management, data integrity.
    • Graduate Assessment Centre local co-ordination and support on marketing activities (Career Fairs, and other related events)

    About The Team

    You will be part of our local HR MEA team but you will interact and collaborate with a global, innovative and solution driven HR community. Working closely with the HR Shared Services centre in Bratislava, you will provide HR services and solutions to employees and managers in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Tel Aviv and Dubai. You will be an integral part of the expansion of the business into Africa. You will also have the opportunity to work with various HR functions, Centres of Expertise and with colleagues across the world.

    About You

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience either in HR MIS / Business Analysis in HR
    • Focussing on administration, policies, systems and governance
    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business or Statistics preferred
    • Long-term motivation to work and grow within the HR function
    • Great attention to detail and analytical acumen
    • Customer orientated and results driven
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Confident with MS SharePoint and MS Office (Power Point, Excel)
    • Fluent in English, additional language is an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
    • Self-motivated, proactive and flexible

    Preference will be given to South African Employment Equity candidates
