Business Analyst (Fintech) at Swift Momentum

Job description

A Cape Town based company is seeking a Business Analyst to be responsible for the analysis of business processes and the development of software requirements. The BA will help to ensure that business processes are optimised and at the same time that new software is developed.

SALARY: R550K/a, CTC

DUTIES

• Analyse integration and system requirements
• Work closely with our business to define and analyse business requirements and problems across business departments
• Work with the developers to ensure the understanding of the requirements
• Work with testers and business to ensure that the test cases are complete
• Ensure that the delivered functionality is clearly communicated to the business
• Collaborate with business to design and document process and system solutions
• Collaborate with business to define success metrics to be able to measure the success of the delivery of the requirement
• Get involved in release activities which may involve testing and availability on some weekends when releases go live
• Communicate any changes to systems and/or processes to all affected parties with a sufficient level of detail and explanation.
• Assist with the analysis of production defects as needed. This will involve analysis of the cause of the defects raised, as well as the actions required to correct the problem and prevent the problem from re-occurring.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Comm, B.Bus Sci or equivalent qualification
• Experience in business analysis tools and methodologies
• Good understanding of the Financial Industry
• Experience in a role where process optimization/analysis was a key aspect
• Any experience that demonstrates your ability to function well in a detailed environment with particular concern for accuracy and quality.
• Any experience that demonstrates your ability to deal with complexity and your ability to be an analytical problem solver
• Knowledge of SQL and databases is an advantage
