Job description

The Instructional Designer/Content Developer role contributes to the organisational goals by designing and developing outcomes based learning programmes and content that support the businesses needs and requirements in unleashing human potential and achieving desired levels of performance.

Job Objectives/Outputs

• Plan, prepare, the design and development of the Learning Solution as per customers and business specifications.
• Develop Curriculums that describe the proposed Learning Solutions to address training and business needs.
• Develop an outcomes based learning package (e.g. materials, PowerPoint presentation) to be used in the Learning Solution.
• Develop and implement train-the-trainer sessions in order to ensure high quality delivery in accordance to the training design.
• Pilot and evaluate the Learning Solutions end- to end (content and material used) to identify areas for improvement, make recommendation and relevant updates are made.
• Quality assurance of the design, development and delivery of the Learning Solution.
• Actively involved in continued professional development as a learning development expert.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

• Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4)
• Relevant Instructional Design and Development qualification

Experience:

• Extensive short or long term insurance experience (min 3 years industry experience)
• At least 1-2 years previous experience in Learning & Development
• At least 1-2 years previous experience in Instructional Design
• Proven performance track record in previous position
