Field Engineer at Paracon

Job Description

Our client has outsourced their IT function for some time and they have decided to hire a strong Field Engineer to man their entire IT department! This is a great opportunity to take on more responsibility, grow professionally and show off your skills.

You Will Need

• Microsoft Windows 7 / 8.1 skills;
• Microsoft Office 2007 / 2010 / 2013 skills;
• Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012 / 2012 R2 skills;
• Microsoft Hyper V (Virtualization) experience;
• Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013 skills;
• The ability to configure desktop IT hardware and software;
• The ability to setup a Client / Server network with a domain controller;
• Server setup experience – including different raid configuration;
• Network experience; and,
• Experience with the Setup and configuration of Anti-Virus software.

Job Requirements

• You must be able to work in a team environment, coupled with excellent people and communication skills, both written and spoken. It's important that you can research problems and make recommendations as needed, and that you are able to determine time estimates and schedule for your own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• You also need to be able to work independently on routine assignments, along with your good training skills. It would be your responsibility to train and upskill your co-workers whenever a new solution or Operating System is implemented.
• On the qualification front, you need an A+ or NET+ certification and a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) coupled with 3 years' of experience.
• Lastly, you must be willing to travel between 4 branches and be on standby as required.
