    Organisation Development and Training Manager

    Job description

    Eaton Electrical is searching for an OD and Training Manager reporting to the HR Manager based in Wadeville

    Main Functions:

    The manager of Training and Development provides skills and organizational development support aligned with Eaton’s business directives to build organizational capability.

    The position aims to deploy training and development programs and processes whilst meeting the unique OD requirements of Eaton Headquarters and local operations.

    Essential Functions:

    • Design and implement appropriate local education, training and organization development strategies to support the respective organizations’ business strategies.
    • Consults with regional HR leadership and business leaders on employee development, organization effectiveness, and culture change initiatives.
    • Design and fully coordinate the local employee induction program.
    • Ability to support virtual teams across the Africa region and collaborate with teams in Europe and the rest of Eaton operations globally.
    • Prepare and submit all skills development legislative reports.
    • Manage relationship with MERSETA and apply for grants.
    • Manage the internal apprenticeship, trainee and graduate programs.
    • BBBEE champion for Skills Development and Employment Equity.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

    • Bachelor degree/ Honours from an accredited institution on Organizational
    • Development, Human Resources Management or Training Management.
    • Must be a registered Skills Development Facilitator.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Development, Skills
    • Development and/ training design and implementation, in a global organization with leading edge HR Systems and practices. 3 years must be in management role.
    • Proven record of dealings with the SETAs.
    • Experience in a unionized environment.
    • Previous experience of BBBEE management process an advantage.
    • Understanding of learning needs analysis and creation of training programs is essential.
    • Own car essential
