    Main Purpose

    To control the printing of Pearson South Afirca product toagreed quality, time and financial standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute requests for printing within agreedworkflows and time standards.
    • Prepare estimates to facilitate orderauthorisation.
    • Select appropriate suppliers and schedule printingwith suppliers.
    • Monitor supplier performance against servicestandards.
    • Maintain accurate financial commitments fromquote to invoice, ensuring that the procurement process is accurately completedand closed.
    • Maintain financial controls during the printprocurement process.
    • Actively manage printing in progress toensure that all orders are completed within schedule.

    Core competencies: Functional

    • The applicant must have a highlevel of computer literacy with experience in the use of spreadsheets.
    • The position requires a levelof numerical competency with a very high degree of accuracy.
    • The ability to work within apressured, deadline driven environment with complete goal orientation.
    • A systematic and organisedapproach to tasks.

    Qualifications

    • A tertiary qualification or applicable workexperience is required.
    • Bookmaster experience is an advantage.
    • A qualification or experience in one or more of the following areas isrequired: printing, pre-press, production (media), supply chain or procurement.
