We are currently looking for a Security Engineer – L3 to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
What we expect you to do:
- You will be expected to support, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls. Cisco ACS, Remote access and Site-to-Site VPN’s on all technologies, IPS Signature tuning, Application filtering support, Blue Coat proxy solutions, Websense, DLP solutions, and a vast number of other technologies.
- We will need you to do standby and overtime when required.
- Compile and analyse client’s security reports during the month.
- Assist clients with change requirements when calls are logged.
- Work on Service Now (ITSM) to accept, update and resolve the calls logged from clients.
- Work in a team to resolve complex problems.
- Know how to follow proper change control processes on all client environments.
- Have good knowledge of IP Segmentation and static and dynamic routing protocols.
- Expected to be able to research new problems, identify the solutions and provide feedback.
In short, we need you to work passionately to analyse, maintain, install, and problem solve our client's environments.
Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job
REQUIREMENTS
Experience as an Security Engineer - about 5 to 10 years
- Good understanding of networking technology, IP Segmentation, Routing and routing protocols
- Thorough understanding of malware, viruses, IPS, VPN’s Remote access and Site-to-Site, DLP, authentication protocols and two factor authentication solutions, Encryption technologies, Latest network designs and best practices..
- Must have excellent trouble shooting skills.
- Preferred to have a degree/diploma in engineering or computer science and must have Professional Level Technology certification
- Good understanding and working knowledge of firewall technologies, and trouble shooting skills in resolving problems.
- Good English language skills
- Great people skills.
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage.

- Fortigate
- RSA
- Blue Coat
- Websense
- Tipping Point
- Juniper
- Palo Alto
- SIEM Tools

- Able to be a good team player, because we need you to comfortably interact and liaise with management, co-workers and clients alike.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Able to have an investigative nature - to be able to spot risks and resolve issues quickly and with the minimum disruption to our client's business

- You must begin to specialise in a particular field of either technology, vendor or product whilst maintaining a broad technology understanding
- If problems arise, we need you to initiate action and resolve the issue
