Branch Manager at North Safety Products (NSP)

Job description

Manage and direct the branch operation by ensuring the budgeted sales and profits are achieved or improved whilst minimizing costs by continuously striving for improved customer service and expanding the customer base through a motivated work team and thereby improving the company’s profitability and image as a leader in the field.

• Achievement of sales and gross margin targets.
• To train, develop and organize all employees to ensure a competent team who will achieve and improve on the monthly sales and profit targets and objectives of the company. Includes correct staffing to achieve goals.
• Monitor operating expenses, stocktaking, auditing of processing of orders, invoices and deliveries, customer complaints and forecasting of demand. Ensure all administrative procedure are in line with company policy.
• Maintain knowledge of new technology / legislation / union demands and action that may have a direct bearing on the company’s products and ensuring a high level of customer product knowledge.
• Keep abreast of and expand customer requirements through regular contact and updating of information regarding processing of orders timeously and ensuring that the branch remains a service-orientated supplier.
• Branch monthly meetings to be held with staff to discuss operational issues and minuted.
• Stores control. Ensure stock turns / rotation to be at targeted levels. Conduct random security checks.
