Job description

This position is responsible to ensure all warehouse logistics demand from internal and external customers are met in line with agreed service levels. This role will be responsible for all warehousing activities from the central warehouse for technology (enterprise, network) and marketing (collateral and store front).

The ability to manage a complex warehouseand inventory environment will enable the business to deliver on our customer promise and achieve our profit / cost targets.

• Works closely with 3rd party logistics and warehouse providers to ensure optimal economical services and execution in line with service and performance levels.

• Manage warehouse performance in line with agreed metrics and targets.
• Communicate operational issues and performance to stakeholders.
• Pro-actively communicate with stakeholders to manage supply.

Knowledge And Experience

• Warehouse operations management experience.
• Minimum 10 years of logistics & supply chain experience
• Strong operational and management skills
• Experience in the FMCG, Capital Projects, Spare Parts and Repairs would be advantageous.
• In depth understanding and experience of all facets of logistics and supply chain management and operations.

• Operational performance service level agreement compliance and targets achieved.
• Operational budget targets achieved.
• Customer satisfaction index.
• 15 direct reports
• No budget owned
• 3 year related degree or 3 year diploma in project management or logistics.
• Post graduate qualification will be advantageous.
• Min 8 years relevant experience of which 4-5 years should be in field of expertise required by position .

• Job specific and relevant certification, short diploma’s or short courses.
• Min of 10 years relevant experience - clearly defined, in depth and job specific of which 4-5 years should be in field of logistics and/or project management.
• Must have experience in managing complex warehousing facilities.
