    Training Associate

    Job description

    • Determine training requirements, co-ordinate and supervise implementation of training, training budgets, training material development, recording and reporting of training conducted and supervising of training personnel.
    • Development of training material and assessment sheets
    • Conduct both Hourly and Salaried training and competency assessments
    • Co-ordinate and deliver Plant & Manufacturing Engineering technical training activities
    • Co-ordinate and deliver non-technical training activities, e.g. Team Leader Training
    • Administer and co-ordinate all training planning and recording for area of responsibility, e.g. WSP and ATR
    • Co-ordinate all Launch Planning and Workforce readiness programs in line with LPWR requirements
    • Participate with national workgroups in the development of training material, e.g. Merseta, DHET, etc.
    • Development of plant maintenance systems and procedures to improve equipment uptime
    • Conduct annual training needs analysis
    • Develop five year business plan in conjunction with all stakeholders and prepare annual budget according to plan in alignment with the Pretoria Training Department
    • Ensure availability of training materials and equipment
    • Maintain training rooms, workshops and training equipment
    • Co-ordinate the BBBEE Skills Development program in conjunction with the Pretoria Office.

    Knowledge, Skills & Ablities

    • Knowledge, understanding and application of legislation on training and development - Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, Learnerships Regulations, Apprenticeship Regulations and relevant aspects of the OSH Act
    • Through knowledge and understanding of LQOS and LP&WR processes
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Ford Production Systems Thorough knowledge and understanding of Plant Quality Operating Systems
    • Ability in compiling and analyzing training needs analysis
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate training material against qualifications or outcomes requirements
    • Ability to facilitate and drive training initiatives to support business requirements and individual development
    • Works effectively with internal/external constituents, especially students, to satisfy developmental expectations
    • Understand and maximize application and alignment to HR processes
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Qualification: S4 Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Trade with National "N" Diploma. Btech degree will be an added advantage
    • Experience: Minimum two years relevant experience in planning, leading and delivering training interventions
    • Other: Must be prepared to travel locally and overseas, when required, as well as be prepared to work shifts and overtime
