    Account Manager Africa

    About the job

    The Account Manager Africa will be a member of the ADVA Optical Networking Sales team in Pretoria South Africa and will be mainly responsible for the business with the Value Added Resellers and the assigned End Customers in Africa as per agreement with the MEA Management.

    To be considered, candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful track record and strong business relationships within the telecoms sector.

    The key responsibilities of this role will include:

    • Sales strategy, including contribution to business plan
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key End Customers and Value Added Resellers.
    • Support the MEA Management in negotiation of contracts and agreements, including upkeep of same, with customers and resellers.
    • Overall Order Intake for the assigned End Customers or Value Added Resellers
    • Presentation and successful positioning of ADVA products and services
    • Coordinate enabling and pre-sales and post-sales support for the Value Added Resellers and the respective End Customers
    • Support the MEA Management in implementing and controlling of the sales processes, including forecasting, SalesForce update, customer service, tracking of overdue invoices, loan planning, monthly reporting, and quality programs
    • Supporting sales input to Product Line Management, Business development

    Knowledge, skills and experience required

    • Essential - demonstrate a successful track record and strong business relationships within the telecoms sector in the territory.
    • Profound, high-level technical knowledge on WDM and Ethernet solutions
    • Sound knowledge and experience in consultative selling
    • Strong negotiation skills and business awareness
    • Excellent interpersonal skills (including fluent English)
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills

    Travel requirements

    • Readiness to travel within the territory and internationally
