    Accountant - Publisher Settlement

    Job Description    

    • On the Dot Supply Chain Management (Pty) Ltd, a division of Novus Holdings, seeks to appoint a diligent Accountant in the Finance Department. This position is based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. The successful incumbent will report into the Senior Management Accountant.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    
    (The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)

    • Obtain and validate completeness and accuracy of reports used for the calculation of monthly payments to publishers.
    • Calculate payments to publishers. Prepare and distribute remittance reports.
    • Submit remittance reports for review and payment.
    • Process relevant transactions in the ERP.
    • Prepare accounting reconciliations.
    • Answer queries from publishers and the product management team.
    • Support the Senior Management Accountant and the CFO and attend to their ad-hoc requests.
    • Compile information requested by the internal and external auditors and the management team of On the Dot Supply Chain Management (Pty) Ltd.
    • Document the publisher settlement process and drive continuous improvements in the efficiency, timeliness, accuracy and internal controls.
    • Manage the junior accountant supporting the publisher settlement process.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in accounting.

    Experience Requirements    

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Solid knowledge of IFRS and VAT rules.
    • Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications.
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
