    Intermediate Operations Specialist - Jacada ROW

    PRIMARY PURPOSE

    • To fill an administrative financial operations role in the booking process, firstly as a support to the Travel designers, UK Operations team and being responsible for supplier payments for each booking. To ensure that all services booked are paid for accurately, efficiently, timeously and with zero errors.
    • This position is based in Johannesburg

    Detailed Responsibilities

    • Liaise with Travel Designers, UK Operations, and suppliers on all bookings, covering both operational and financial aspects
    • Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers and internal sales and operations teams to build trust and deliver excellent support to UK teams
    • Keep all booking information accurate and up to date in the CRM
    • Attend weekly product training to ensure accurate bookings and exceed expectations
    • Remain up to date with company policies, procedures, and system changes
    • Confirm payment has been received for all confirmed bookings
    • Load and verify all service lines in Wilderness Window in line Itrvl
    • Check and update arrival and departure dates to match the itinerary
    • Ensure itinerary and costs match supplier invoices
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies between vouchers, supplier invoices, and system records
    • Ensure supplier and DMC payments are processed on time.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Qualification:

    • Matric certificate – with maths (minimum standard grade or above)
    • Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism/hospitality.

    Experience:                    

    • 4–5 years’ experience in a travel industry operations or financial administration role
    • Experience managing customer relationships and handling booking financials
    • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, Teams, internet browsers)
    • Working knowledge Tourplan, WISH or similar reservations systems
    • General Geography knowledge
    • Personal or educational travel experience an advantage

    Skills:           

    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial accuracy
