Accountant at Tharisa

Purpose of role

Accountant is responsible to perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to compilation of budgets, reconciliation of accounts, reporting on and analysing of expenditure, monitoring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies and procedures and ensuring correct and timeous allocation of costs.

Role Context

• Preparation of normal sales invoices;
• Sundry invoices - sampling, surveying and for projects;
• Loading of Ad hoc payments;
• Capturing of supplier invoices;
• Purchase requests for office expenses and sundry cost of sales;
• Monthly creditors reconciliations and loading of payments;
• Prepayments and fixed assets, journals.
• Quarterly Statistic returns.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12;
• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent.

Job Specific Experience

• Minimum: 4 years’ relevant experience. Preferable mining;
• Sage X3 experience – preferable;
• CaseWare experience;
• OneStream experience – preferable;
• Excellent excel skills and should be able to manage complex formulas and volumes of data.
