    Administration Officer: Departmental Fleet

    Salary: R 338,106.00 per annum

    Reference No: LDTCS W07/ 2026

    Key Performance Areas

    • Administer government fleet services.
    • Handle accidents reports, losses, theft, unauthorized or misuse of vehicles.
    • Administer subsidized motor transport services.
    • Consolidate monthly reports.

    Prerequisites

    • A National Senior Certificate / an equivalent plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in in Public Management/Management Assistant/Social Sciences/Management Assistant or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field / area as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority SAQA).
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the same or related field.
    • Valid driver’s licence (with exception of persons with disabilities).

    Person Profile

    • Sound and in-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Government Structures i.e. The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Public Finance Management Act, Code of Conduct, Basic Conditions of Employment, Occupational Health and Safety.
    • Understanding of the Government Motor Transport Handbook version 1 of 2017 and the Subsidized Motor Transport Handbook version 1 of 2019.Knowledge in Fleet Management, Fleet Planning. Fleet management Practices and procedures.
    • Computer skills; Diversity management; Financial Management; Problem Solving; Planning & organizing; Leadership and Control, Time Management; Negotiation skills; Policy knowledge; Facilitation skills; Presentation skills; Coordination skills, Report writing, Change Management, Project Management, Driving skills.
