Administration Officer(Health Professions Training & Development)
National Senior Certificate, National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA in Public Administration/Business Administration/ Public Management/Office Administration/Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification coupled with 1-2 years’ experience. Knowledge of public administrative systems, processes and other human resources prescripts, regulations, procedures. Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Policies and Procedures. Good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) computer skills and problem solving. Basic knowledge of PERSAL system, ability to interpret human resource prescripts and apply them. Ability to work well under pressure and be customer focused. Management of skills development /training programme. A valid driver’s licence.
DUTIES:
Assist in the formulation of the SHR Training and Development Business Plan and WSP for skills development. Manage Registrar HR related processes (e.g appointments, transfers, verification of qualifications and Statutory Human Resource & Training Grant support visits). Utilise expenditure report from PERSAL for proper monitoring of Statutory Human Resource, Training and Development Grant related appointments. Monitor and report misallocation of Medical registrars, Medical interns and Comserve under the Statutory Human Resource & Training Grant budget.
Update registrar information and keep track of all registrar activities. Coordinate clinical training programmes for the province , prepare all training logistics, and maintain accurate training records and databases. Process training-related procurement activities. Support evaluation processes by collecting and summarizing feedback. Manage training by ensuring proper setup of the venue and logistics. Maintain inventory of training materials. Observe and comply with all departmental policies and guidelines regulating administration functioning. Adhere to reporting times and quarterly SHR & Training Grant reports. Ensure quality of work at all times particularly with statistics of training programmes. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
