    Administrative Assistant

    What will you do?

    An exciting position for Administrator exists in the Santam Digital team, based at Alice Lane, Sandton or Bellville Head Office, Cape Town.  This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer.  The Digital team is based between Sandton and Bellville, regular travel will be required between locations.

    Administrative support to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO)

    • Maintains office systems
    • Follow up on action points from meetings
    • Deals with correspondence
    • Organise meetings and venues
    • Support the manager with strategy related activities
    • Assist with travel schedule, both local and international

     Administrative support to the Digital Management team, including:

    • Effective diary management
    • Arrangement of training events
    • Manages expense claims
    • Minutes of meetings

    Assist with team communication and strategy initiatives

    • Maintains the Santam Intranet site details
    • Maintain team contact and birthday lists

    General Administration

    • Maintain access to specific systems
    • Support with new staff appointments
    • Establish good working and support arrangements with the other assistants in the BITS

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Personal Assistant in a team environment
    • Computer literate (Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Strong co-ordination, organisational and planning skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
    • Confidentiality
    • Ability to think laterally
    • High initiative
    • Professionalism, excellent judgement, use of discretion, prioritisation and problem-solving abilities
    • Presentation and communication skills
    • Valid motor vehicle license (own reliable vehicle essential)

    Qualification and Experience

    • Degree with 2 to 3 years related experience or qualified by experience.
