In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Providing comprehensive administrative, human resources, and organisational support to the smelter care and maintenance team at Wonderkop Smelter
Organising and coordinating diaries, meetings, events, and site functions
Preparing and managing routine correspondence, reports, presentations, and filing systems in line with compliance standards
Assisting with HRD and HR processes including onboarding and offboarding, leave management, time and attendance, and maintaining accurate training records
Coordinating training and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory, audit, and legal requirements
Acting as the first-line advisor for employee queries relating to HR, administration, or policies
Supporting management in communicating and applying company policies and procedures
Monitoring process adherence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in administrative and HR/D areas
Arranging and managing third-party services, bookings, procurement (using SAP or COUPA), and office supplies
Supervising and managing support staff such as cleaners
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations (SafeWork and Fatal Hazard Protocols)
About you:
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 (essential)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Administration, Finance, HR, or related field (will be advantageous)
At least 3 years' experience in administration, Finance, HR, or HRD roles, preferably in industrial, plant, or mining environments
Experience coordinating and supporting cross-functional teams, and in process and compliance administration
Experience with SAP (MM, FI, HR) and COUPA (advantageous)
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP, COUPA)
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and people management abilities
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
Knowledge of HSECQ, safety legislation, and process improvement principles
