    Africa Tax & Legal - Senior Client Account Manager (CAM)

    Job Description
    Main Purpose of job

    Assist opportunity and engagement teams (professionals at all levels) to deliver an efficient and effective internal administration and support service with performing and monitoring required firm Quality Risk and Legal compliance processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

    Role & Responsibilities

    •        Assist managers to capture client and opportunities on Phoenix
    •        Follow up on client acceptances/continuance with RIL or approvers
    •        Follow up with opportunity managers and directors with regards to outstanding checks or approvals
    •        Completion of the high-level conflict check
    •        Completion of the EA Form in consultation with the Opportunity Partner/ Manager
    •        Uploading relevant and required supporting documentation onto Phoenix
    •        Coordinate and file team independence declaration for opportunities at restricted clients
    •        Review and discuss opportunity and engagement monitoring reports regularly with the responsible Partner/ Manager
    •        Assist opportunity team in logging conflict checks on the system and follow up as appropriate to ensure completed and queries addressed
    •        Follow up with LCSP and other approvers required as per the conflict check outcome
    •        Uploading relevant and required supporting documentation onto Phoenix
    •        Timely escalation of issues identified
    •        Able to search DESC and report applicable client ruleset
    •        Able to search DESC and report applicable client ruleset
    •        Provide assistance to managers on DESC by facilitating the logging and follow up of service requests
    •        Monitoring business relationships follow up with managers and directors regarding outstanding actions
    •        Requesting and updating required information in the system
    •        Creating and filing relevant contract documents and letters of engagement on the system
    •        Complete e-learning and other training for Phoenix and other risk and finance systems
    •        Assist the director and manager in compiling documentation required for review

    Technical competencies

    •        Good technical knowledge of the organization risk management, and compliance systems and process.
    •        Basic skills in analysis and report writing
    •        Experience in drafting of reports for review
    •        Competent in MS Office suite and programs relevant to role
    •        Working understanding of business principles
    •        Very Good English language skills written and spoken
    •        Good Interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels
    •        Able to work under pressure
    •        Assist colleagues with explanation of new concepts, processes or other development areas by promoting transfer of knowledge
    •        Demonstrate commitment to safeguard the information trusted to you.
    •        Complete all mandatory e-learning within the allocated timeframe
    •        Responsible for document management (electronic and hard copy processes)
    •        Maintaining all project, legal and risk documentation
    •        Responsible for supporting business with compliance with the firm’s risk and independence processes
    •        Opportunity and engagement administration and monitoring

    Qualifications

    • Minimum qualification
    • National Diploma in relevant function (3 years)
    • Desired qualification 
    • Degree
    • Experience 
    • 2 - 4 years' experience within the function
    • Experience preferably within professional services
