    Agile Coach : Business Agility - Principal Consultant

    • The ideal candidate directs and manages the full project life cycle, setting standards for assignments and applications. Pivotal consulting role in providing analysis of the existing practices of the projects across the organisation and making recommendations for improvements. Specialised in one area of business management/domain providing effective management to teams and giving guidance to others and key business users.

    Responsibilities

    • Work to educate clients on the best practices in relation to their specific industry and key business requirements.
    • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously if required. Pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes and deliverables.
    • Work in partnership with the Management team, create the strategic plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.
    • Actively lead a successful team in line with the strategic plan.
    • Guide and support the professional development of specialist team members

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Has achieved a formal certification as a Scrum Master, Kanban Lead, Lean Six Sigma certification or similar Agile approach
    • Achieved a formal certification in SAFe®

    Desirable:

    • Management qualification or relevant years of experience
    • Knowledge of MS SharePoint
    • Knowledge of financial processes

    Skills

    General:

    • Has achieved trusted advisor status at a senior level with the client.
    • Excellent client-facing skills, as an expert in field experience of influencing client decision making and direction. Takes time to establish underlying needs of client beyond those initially expressed.
    • Applies insight, originality and a broad perspective to generate revolutionary technical solutions.
    • Experience of introducing new concepts or strategies that significantly improve or revise the way business is done through to implementation.
    • Excellent communication and presentations skills. Maintains confidentiality, shares ideas and information, facilitates discussions, and transfers knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives.

    Technical:

    • Proven experience in leading multiple teams in agile software delivery approaches, at least 2 to 3 years real experience as an Agile Coach.
    • Proven experience in the use of scaled agile frameworks.
    • Proven experience operating at C level in creating Agile Strategy and Solutions.
    • Proven evidence of Coaching skill development through experience and/or formal certification.
    • Demonstrates Lean Thinking and an Agile Mind-set in how they work internally and externally.
    • Proven experience in conducting Agile Health-checks for clients and presenting the findings to clients.
    • Experience in the creation and delivery of Agile Training courses to clients
    • Has experience of multiple client engagements and can manage multiple client relationships.
    • Actively involved in the Agile community (Locally or Globally) through publications, speaking events or facilitating community events.
    • Strong theoretical knowledge in business consulting methodologies, applying standards and specialist consulting expertise to deliver whilst providing effective management to teams.
    • Extensive application/technology and domain knowledge and has recognised expertise in business consulting including participating in the identification of and planning for future resource needs.
    • A proven record in being responsible for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
    • Extensive experience with all stages of the product development lifecycle (concept to launch).
    • Strong knowledge of new and emerging technologies based on own area of expertise.
    • Experience in managing the change control procedure. Can recommend and advocate substantive process enhancements and assess both internal and external implications.
    • Experience in diagnosing problems using formal problem-solving tools and techniques from multiple angles and probing underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions.
    • Experience in advising clients and clearly communicating the benefits of implementing specific solutions and identifying areas to add value.
    • A proven record in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.

    Desired Skills

    • Proven track record of strategic transformations using SAFe® principles and practices within organisations together with proven evidence of coaching skill development through experience and/or formal certification

    Budget:

    • Ability to manage own expenses and ensure adherence of others to the expense policy.
    • Proposes project specific requirements to be included in the budget.
    • Proposes investments to be made in the POC, R&D, tools and technologies.
    • Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.
