Akeneo PIM | PHP Engineer at Vaimo

Our company is looking for a committed backend developer with an eagerness to challenge themselves. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP backend in order to develop and implement Product Information Management (PIM) solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and implement solutions, and ensure the effective management of product data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Akeneo Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain PIM solutions to meet business requirements.
• Customize and extend the functionality of Akeneo to address specific needs.
• Ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.

Data Modeling and Mapping:

• Work closely with business stakeholders and clients to understand product data requirements.
• Design and implement data models, taxonomies, and attribute sets within Akeneo.
• Create and manage data mapping processes to ensure accurate and consistent product information.

Integration:

• Integrate Akeneo with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
• Implement data synchronization processes to ensure data consistency across systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.

Customization and Extensions:

• Develop custom extensions, plugins, and connectors to enhance Akeneo functionality.
• Implement business rules and workflows to streamline data management processes.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing of Akeneo configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Identify and address bugs, performance issues, and data discrepancies.

Documentation:

• Create comprehensive technical documentation for Akeneo configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Provide training and support to end-users and other development team members.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Disclaimer: Position and title is dependent on the amount of experience

• National diploma or degree in software development or related fields
• Experience with PHP, Symfony, MySQL, Docker and Linux
• Experience and knowledge with web Services and handling integrations between different systems and platforms such as GraphQL/RESTful
• Good coding standards (PSR) with design pattern experience and GIT version control
• Akeneo PIM (Product Information Management) knowledge is an advantage
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
