    Analyst: Community development

    About The Role

    We are looking for an Advisor Community Development to undertake research, project management and monitoring activity to support the delivery of RBM’s work to help build strong host communities with a strong focus on delivering commitments under the SA Mining Charter and other relevant legislation including RBM’s Social & Labour Plans (SLPs) and other projects agreed to on a local and regional basis

    Reporting to the Principal Advisor Community Development and Projects, you will

    • Undertake research and monitoring activity in support of the SLP process.
    • Support Project Management activity to ensure progress of SLP commitments and projects.
    • Provide support to the Senior Advisor, Local Content and Employment in the effective running of the Community Recruitment Office (CRO) and other transformation programmes.
    • Support the identification, assessment and control of risks relating to projects.
    • Provide support to the Senior Advisor on engagement processes with relevant Government agencies on the SLP.
    • Ensure all activities are aligned with both RBM and Rio Tinto Group policies, Standards and approaches, including The Way We Work.

    About You
    To succeed in this role, you will have

    • Degree in Business Administration / Economics/ Social Science
    • Honours Degree will be an advantage
    • Licenses EB Drivers
    • At least 3 years’ experience with Mine and Community Development, with experience in Social Labour Plan Management and knowledge of relevant legislation
