    Analyst - Financial Reporting and Controlling ICT COE

    For the relevant area of responsibility:

    • Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, business reviews and ensures that financial information is accounted for accurately and provide explanations for variances (forecasts, budgets and actuals) to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and provide monthly viability/profitability analysis for Towers (Services/Products), Customers and Projects, including allocation of expenses to determine process costs.
    • Management of Order Entry and Order Backlog quality. 
    • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
    • Support management in the implementation, improvement and maintenance of policies and processes:
    • Budget and Forecast process: Drive internal and external budget/forecast process for the areas), provide details and sign off (commitments) from respective units.
    • Adherence to internal and external guidelines (IFRS, commission policy, signature policy, company laws etc).
    • Assist and support management in providing Processes/Procedures for business cases (financial input). 
    • Assist in managing risks and opportunities, by identification of risks within areas of responsibility.
    • Provide finance principles and controls to management and proactively develop solutions to optimize key indicators driving Revenue and Gross Margin performance.
    • Initiate measures to ensure performance back on track such as: working paper management; liaise with relevant stakeholders within other sub-areas of Finance E.g. Corporate Finance; etc.
    • Provide financial advice by studying operational issues; apply financial principles and practices and develop recommendations.
    • Communicate to all impacted parties and maintain a constant flow of critical information with all levels within the organization and across functions.
    • Support management in the implementation, improvement and maintenance of policies and processes.
    • Ad hoc support and controlling requirements e.g. rate card management, structure changes, account clean-up, etc.
    • Key customers: All internal Employees and all external Clients 
    • Key suppliers:  suppliers, vendors and contractors 
    • Relations: ICT CoE – all markets being attended to

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    • Minimum 3-year tertiary financial (Preferably a B.Com Accounting and/or Equivalent) 

    Experience 

    • At least 5 years’ experience in 5 Years plus work experience in Financial Management/Controlling function.
    • Broad, comprehensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques and their use and application in financial strategy formulation and target setting.
    • Comprehensive understanding of how resources within different business lines interact and contribute to achieving commercial objectives to set realistic and meaningful (interdependent) KPI’s.
    • Ability to impact the business by providing value added perspectives on a business wide basis.
    • Good analytical skills and evaluative judgement based on both routine and non-routine (complex) information analysis.
    • Strong communication skills to guide and influence colleagues and stakeholders; interactive listening skills are also important in aspects of the role such as target setting and risk management.
    • Leadership - Required to build, manage and provide professional leadership and guidance to a team of financial specialists, ensuring that the team is developed and the company attains optimal use and development of talent.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency – Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Oracle / SAP System experience
    • Hyperion Reporting experience
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies. 
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization.
