Assistant Professional Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements

•  A relevant Bachelor Degree (preferably in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or Media Studies)
•  Minimum two years’ relevant experience at an appropriate level i.e. communication, stakeholder engagement, public relations, marketing.
•  Excellent writing, communication and engagement skills including the ability to turn technical information into simple language content.
•  Project management skills.
•  A valid Code B driver’s licence.
•  Availability outside standard office hours to assist with public engagements

Key Performance Areas

•  Coordinate and implement communication and engagement initiatives in support of various urban mobility projects.
•  Facilitate engagements between internal, external stakeholders, and affected communities to foster customer relations and enable service delivery.
•  Implement communication and marketing interventions and promote behavioural change.
•  Plan and facilitate engagements with stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).
•  Develop content for print and digital collateral.
