    Automotive Academy Director

    Automotive Academy Director

    Currently we are looking to fill the position of: ACADEMY DIRECTOR – SA

     

    The key responsibilities of Academy Director are as follows:

    Strategy & Innovation

    • Work with our client South Africa to shape retail performance improvement strategy
    • Lead local innovation initiatives
    • Own the annual planning and budgeting exercise

     

    Governance

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders for our client in SA to improve impact of Academy initiatives
    • Work with Academy Board of Governors (Dealers) to improve impact of Academy initiatives
    • Use available measurement systems and initiate new measurement systems to evaluate impact of Academy initiatives and drive continuous improvement
    • Set-up / improve / run regular report-outs to all key stakeholders

     

    Operations

    • Lead a team of Program Managers running various initiatives under Academy.
    • Oversee critical L&D program processes including training calendars, nomination, scheduling, training quality monitoring, post-program reporting, new course material development, learner reward & recognition and more.
    • Oversee critical Business Management program processes including dealer financial reporting, analysis, improvement action planning and more.
    • Coaching and mentoring a team of approximately 10 full time individuals and 20+ associates

    The role is responsible for delivering revenue and profit assurance for MSX. This role reports to Country Head – South Africa at MSX and has a dotted line reporting into Our client  International Markets Group Academies Director (MSX role). This role is based at Our client  South Africa office in Pretoria.

     You are:

    •  An entrepreneurial individual driven by a desire to make an impact on your industry and organization
    • A leader with the ability to influence and motivate an organization of high-potential professionals
    • A strategic thinker, with deep understanding of Automotive Retail Performance
    • An extremely disciplined, process-oriented professional
    • Excellent in written and spoken communication – comfortable speaking in public and to a large audience
    • Upwards of 15 years of experience in learning and development management skills

     

    You have:

    •  Extensive Learning and Development Management skills.
    • Proven track record of running a service organization dealing with multiple projects and multiple stakeholders
    • Demonstrated consulting aptitude, with experience advising middle and senior management at large automotive OEMs
    • Ability to identify opportunities and challenges, and drive teams with rigor to act on the same
