Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

• Developing / maturing a web platform that is consumed by dev teams across the content.
• Developing features onto the same platform.
• Contributing to the maturity of our SDLC process.
• Producing application architecture and designs for implementation by the team.
• Mentoring junior and intermediate developers.
• Contributing to learning initiatives.
• Developing / maintaining containerised applications.
• Leveraging server-less applications where applicable mostly through AWS Cloud platform.
• Supporting junior developers where required.
• Contributing to the technical road-map and vision.
• Researching / assessing programming related advances and feeding back to the team.
• Communicating complex procedures to colleagues and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• AWS Certified Developer qualification would be beneficial
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer qualification would be beneficial

Relevant Skills / Experience:

• Software development preferably within insurance, banking, or telecom industries
• Developing web applications
• 4+ years' experience with at least 2 of the following frameworks (React/VueJS/Angular).
• Ability to work with both document and relational databases
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles & JavaScript design patterns
• Ability to produce clean, responsive designs
• Comfortable with JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS, Docker, NPM, Webpack
• Familiarity with modern authorization mechanism (JWT/RBAC)
• Ability to produce meaningful documentation for both technical & non-technical audiences.
• Experience using Git
• Test-Driven Development.
• Static Analysis / Code standards (Linting)
• Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)

Experience in the following would be beneficial:
