Banking and Cashbook Clerk - East London at Amatola Water

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma in Accounting/Finance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance

Minimum Experience:

• 2 years finance experience
• Cashbook and banking will be an added advantage

Key Outputs:

• Reporting to the Expenditure Supervisor, the employee will:
• Payment of all suppliers, payroll and all other creditors through the electronic banking system
• Record all payments and debit orders to the cashbook
• Prepare monthly Bank reconciliations.
• Print daily bank statement and forward to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and process purchase card payments to cashbook
• Liaise with Purchase Card users on the usage, reconciliation and loading of funds
• Prepare investment register and update regularly
• Liaise with the bank on all banking activities
• Capture all cashflow activities and submit report on monthly receipts and payments
• Attend to internal and external audit queries related to bank and cashbook

Other requirements needed:

• Good computer literacy (Excel)
• Ability to communicate in English
• Good interpersonal skills
• Valid unendorsed Driver’s licence
