Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, planned and predictive maintenance;
• Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on equipment;
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
• Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
• Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Artisan in a mining environment;
• Knowledge and experience of surface mining operation will be advantageous. Includes experience maintenance and repairs of plant components such as Conveyor belt structures, Transfer chutes, Jaw and Cone Crushers, Screens and Feeder;
• Repair structural frames by development and fabricate from complex drawings; Mark off basic regular engineering shapes;
• Oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting/ gauging;

Qualifications for this role are:

•  N2 Technical Certificate;
•  Welder / Plater / Boilermaker Trade Test;
•  Grade 12;
• Valid drivers license
