Bookkeeper - Isuzu Vereeniging at Motus Holdings Limited

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper for our Isuzu dealership in Vereeniging. In this role, you will focus on managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key part in our financial operations and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors as required and assist in the annual audit process.
• Ensure timely payment processing and manage vendor relationships.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of a matriculation certificate with relevant accounting qualifications preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably within the automotive or retail sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; knowledge of specific software platforms is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with dealership financial processes will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with tax compliance and relevant regulations in South Africa.
• Membership or certification with a professional accounting body may be beneficial.
