    Branch Manager

    JOB MISSION:

    • Guides and develops operational plans to meet the medium to long-term objectives of the branch. Provides leadership and overall direction and administration of the operations of the Branch. Interprets and applies policies approved by the stakeholders to ensure improved turnover and profitability.

    9. Testing and Repairing of Equipment

    REQUIREMENTS

    1. Organisational skills – planning your day, time management, action plans and to do list, task prioritisation
    2. Communication skills – telephone skills, written communication and email, using professional language
    3. Managing yourself and your image – conveying a professional image, managing your emotions, methods of handling difficult customers
    4. Problem solving on your own

    GENERAL

    • Perform all such duties in relation to the business of the company as may from time to time be assigned to yourself by management, despite the fact that such duties are not normally performed by yourself.

    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manages the Cape Town Branch performance: 

    • Setting operational targets for the Branch in alignment with the overall requirements of Reditron
    • Reporting on the achievement of operational results on an ongoing basis and take corrective action to address operational problems.
    • Setting targets and monitors the achievement of productivity measures
    • Ensure that sound corporate governance principles are adhered to.

    Manages human capital performance by:

    • Facilitating a high performance organisational culture which attracts grows and retains skilled and committed staff at all levels
    • Ensure that effective development plans are formulated and implemented for all direct reports.
    •  Implementing and adhering to the Reditron Human Resources policies and practice
    • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in the Branch markets and with all staff, customers and suppliers.
    • Implement a retention strategy to ensure key skills remains within the Branch.
    • Providing personal leadership to ensure that the Departments in the branch are managed effectively within a high performance team environment and facilitate the achievement of business goals
    • Establishing performance compacts with direct reports, monitor performance and provide regular feedback

    Performs customer and relationship management

    •  Monitors customer service levels of business managed through personal contact with key customers and managing formal external audit surveys and other measurement processes
    • Communicating the strategic direction of the businesses managed to all stakeholders
    • Visiting key customers to enhance business relationships

    Client Support, Quotations & Sales Target 

    •  Ensure that the needs of the client is understood
    • Advise client on the most suitable equipment for their application
    • Offer to arrange for demonstrations of our Company product range
    •  Conduct site inspections
    • Assist clients on technical support when and if necessary
    •  Prepare quotations according to the specifications given by the client
    • Ensure that the correct discount structures are applied – consult your sales manager in head office before committing to the customer
    • Check quotations to ensure there are no errors and all pricing are according to the price list – consult your sales manager in head office before submitting any quotes
    •  If the quote is accepted, communicate with head office to ensure the availability of stock
    • Ensure that all quotations, invoices and lead sheets are uploaded to the company CRM/Financial operating system
    • Advise clients should there be a delay or shortage in stock
    • Inform clients of the expected delivery date of non standard stock items
    • Ensure annual sales target for the Branch is met.

    Relationship Building

    • Build relations with existing clients through:
    • Making regular follow up telephone contact
    • Calling on clients at least once per year
    • Inform them of new developments at Reditron
    • Provide them with marketing information

    New Business Development

    Identify potential new clients through:

    • Researching the market segments Reditron Ltd wants to target
    •  Identifying clients in those market segments to market the services offered by Reditron to.
    • Attend conferences and exhibitions where potential clients may be present.

    ·Do market intelligence through:

    • Competitor analysis
    • Research of tenders being issued and not awarded to Reditron.
    • Subscribe to international literature regarding the industry and research these.
    • Set up appointments with potential new clients to market the products and services offered by Reditron.
    • Attend meetings with potential new clients.
    • Send marketing information to clients where meetings were not set.

    RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATION:

    • Relevant tertiary diploma / degree

    RELATED EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in a technical sales environment

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED  (INCLUDES INTERNAL TRAINING):

    • Knowledge and experience of running a branch
    • Sound interpersonal relations
    • Ability to operate at an operational level
    • Commercial skills
    • Strong influencing, reasoning and negotiation, (Leadership) skills
    • General management skills
    • Knowledge of Reditron business
