Business Analyst (6 Month Contract) at MFS Africa

The Role

• The Business Analyst elicits and analyzes business and functional requirements to solve complex problems. These requirements and solutions are clearly and concisely detailed in requirements specifications. The analyst will play an active role in the Agile project team and perform acceptance testing to validate the high-level functionality of solutions. It is critical for the analyst to build subject matter expertise in our solutions.
• The successful candidate should have a strong background in mobile and web systems and should be comfortable with lots of moving pieces and learning new technologies & systems. They should have exquisite attention to detail and take pride in writing stellar requirement specifications. The position will be based in Sandton, Johannesburg and will report directly to the General Manager: Homeland. The role is a 6-month contract.

The duties and responsibilities of the role will be as follows:

• Document detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements in a traceable, testable format, including workflows, use cases, business rules, process flows, data flows, test cases, and training materials as required
• Develop user stories
• Conduct requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, use cases, and scenarios
• Provide recommendations and specifications to refine business processes, as needed, to achieve a positive impact
• Support development, project management and execution of functional testing

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Business Analysis, Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of direct work experience as a Business Analyst, in mobile/web/systems
