LabourNet has a Business Analyst role available to be an integral part of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) in the context of an Agile way of work. This role is one of an agent of change, act as liaison between the business community and technical solution providers. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and processes and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders in an agile way.

Continuous improvement on skills which translate into successful innovative solutions
Product design – provide inputs during product design
Feasibility analysis – determine impact on business and technology
Set up and facilitate JAD sessions with Product Owners
Engage in strategic planning
Requirements workshops, one on one interviews etc.
Documenting requirements into business process maps, business requirement definitions and business requirements specifications, Epics, Features, user Stories, Acceptance criteria and Business Rules
Documents organization's direction, structure, business processes and requirements.
Documenting of acceptance criteria
Solution design
Determine, design and facilitate the correct implemented solution for the stakeholder needs across all business functions
Represent information in formats that all stakeholders can understand
Decompose projects/initiatives into smaller, manageable deliverables / user stories / use cases
Provide input to technical design, and liaise between the business and the technical team
Collaborate in terms of work activities between the business, UX/UI and development team
Review and provide input to test cases to ensure requirements traceability and identify possible additional scenarios
Set up and facilitate user groups with relevant stakeholders to ensure viability and acceptance of proposed solution
Perform user acceptance testing with the product owner and the tester
Assist the technology team to interpret and implement requirements
Allocated projects are initiated, managed and maintained with professionalism and quality
Allocated projects and tasks are updated on JIRA
Client is involved in the end-to-end process of business cases and spec’ing
Client kept up to date of status of their project
Manage client's expectations in line with technology vision
Ensure that Product Owner / relevant stakeholders receive comprehensive handover on completed project(s)
Able to create basic mock-ups for screen designs based on User journeys, Business processes and requirements
Effective execution of project yields ROI
Proxy for Product Owner on completed projects which results in satisfaction and uptake with system users
Business/System process mapping of all new initiatives
Identify, investigate and analyse problems faced by business on current implemented solutions on the system
Evaluate system processes with a mindset of continuous improvement
Business process redesign and improvement
Monitoring & efficiencies on systems
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, risk areas and developing and implementing solutions in line with vision of project
Review and provide input to test cases to ensure requirements traceability and identify possible additional scenarios
Perform user acceptance testing with the business/product owner and the tester
Production queries – 3rd line support, for requirements related queries
Blueprint/training manual/user guides is given to client
Produce/collate information for project as deemed necessary
Proactively carries out project support /administrative functions
Client is provided with all relevant documentation in accordance with the BA process and PDLC
Stakeholder satisfaction on proposed and implemented solutions
Assist in compilation of content for webinars pertaining to enhancements and new dev, alongside technology teams as necessary
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
B.Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or related field
Diploma in Business Analysis or related
Certification in UML preferable
Agile certification preferable
Exposure within a Payroll/HR or financial services environment would be advantageous
Experience required:
5 years’ + experience within a Business Analysis environment
Product specific knowledge pertaining to related position and/ or legislation
Understanding of agile methodologies and experience within agile ceremonies
Stand-ups, planning sessions etc.
Knowledge of Prototyping techniques in developing specifications preferable
Previous experience in facilitating user groups and user acceptance testing
Previous experience in facilitating JAD sessions
Experience in dealing with Product Owners / stakeholders across all levels
Previous experience in creating basic mock-ups for screen design
The salary range is between R50000 per month and R60000 per month
