Capex & Project Engineer at Diageo

Job Description :

• Support in formulation of strategic capital development objectives and plans including three-year plans and Capex AOP in line with the overall company objectives.
• Implement projects within applicable company processes from project design and costing, justification for approval to, specifications for tendering by procurement department, technical evaluation of the tenders and eventual supervision of contractors and consultants during the relevant stages in the life of the project.
• Contract management for assigned capex projects.
• Apply governance tools during the project life cycle – Capex validation, 6 pillar standards for project management, internationally recognized engineering standards including but not limited – BS standards, HSE Building Codes, NFPA, ATEX requirements for zoned areas like dusty and highly flammable atmospheres etc.
• Cash flow planning, management, and reporting for the projects under jurisdiction.
• Lead on compliance to safety/Health/environment & all other Diageo policies within the project under jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• B Eng/N. Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Post graduate qualifications in Engineering or Business Studies (MSc or MBA) would be an added advantage.
• Registered Professional Engineer or above with ECSA is desirable

Experience

• At least 5 years as a design engineer or maintenance engineer or a combination of these in FMCG
• Good grasp and understanding of the FMCG processes – utilities, liquid processing, food processing, spirits, or beer manufacturing plants
