Key Performance Areas

Plan Operations/Manufacturing

• Operate the plant in line with approved work instructions, guidelines and procedures.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure that the inventory is kept up to date.

Plant Control

• Ensure at least one job observation on work instructions are done monthly.
• Participate on review and update of work instructions in collaboration with senior personnel.
• Plant readings and checklist as required.
• Inspect any equipment defects to senior personnel.

Compliance with SHEQ requirements

• Ensure effective housekeeping
• Ensure PPE is in a good condition and correctly worn in the workplace
• Ensure that statutory training are completed
• Ensure specialized PPE are stored according to requirements
• Report sub–standard equipment and safety issues

Job Requirements

Key Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of chemical processes would be advantage.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Ac.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and ISO 14001 Environmental standard would be advantage.
• Computer literacy

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 - Maths (50%) and Physical Science (60%) or N3 with maths (50%) and Physical Science (60%)
• OR N3 with maths (50%) and Physical Science (60%)
• OR NCV Level 4 Maths (50%) and Physical Science (60%)
• 0 to 2 years in 24-hour chemical plant operations.
