Degree (NQF Level 7 as recognised by SAQA) in Traffic Safety Management / Road Traffic and Municipal Police Management/ Traffic Management / LLB / Public Management / Traffic Safety Management / Transport Management.
7 - 10 years’ experience in Traffic Law Enforcement Field. 3 - 5 years’ supervisory experience (SL7/8) in the environment. A valid driver’s license minimum code B. No criminal record.
Duties
Manage and enforce Road Traffic Legislation and other relevant legislation: develop operational strategies and ensure implementation of approved traffic law enforcement strategies.
Ensure the free flow of traffic through point duty and traffic control at congested areas, coordinate activities, and safeguard accident scenes.
Plan and manage speed testing operations. Coordinate execution of arrests on traffic related matters, attend court proceedings and given evidence. Manage processes of issuing relevant notices to offenders. Manage traffic policing projects.
